Brilliant Water Lily Pads

This image was created with water lily pads.  We have a very small pond and after so many years the lily pads were taking over.  As we do every year, we took out some water lilies to make room for Lotuses and other plants. When we took these in the summer and turned them over beautiful rainbow of colors and the structure of the lily pad became more apparent which made it such a likely candidate for one of our patterned images.  This image was one of two chosen for the Light Space and Time on line Patterns Art Exhibit in their Special Recognition Category.  Click here to see our other winner in this exhibit in the Special Merit Category — Fern Fantasia.
