The Awakening Lotus print shown above is one that has been chosen for “Our Bond with Nature” online exhibition. It shows a lotus surrounded by a frame created from an image of the underside of lily pads. After 30 years in our pond, the water lilies wanted to take over. Every year we take out some to make room for the Lotus which grows slower and has a later start in the pond than the water lily. It affords us a chance to see the underside of the lily pads that you don’t normally see — and it turns out they are so colorful!
